Wife of Adam Laxalt: Meet Jaime Laxalt – Adam Laxalt is the grandson of former Republican Nevada Governor and U.S. Senator Paul Laxalt, born in Reno.

His father’s paternity was not publicly acknowledged until 2013, and his mother raised him as a single parent. His father Domenici admitted at the time that Laxalt was his son from an extramarital affair.

Laxalt attended Tulane University after graduating from St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School, a college preparatory school in Alexandria, Virginia.

After two years at Tulane, he transferred to Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and government in 2001. He received his juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005.

Adam Laxalt worked for John R. Bolton, then assistant secretary of state for arms control and international security, before joining the office of U.S. Senator John Warner of Virginia.

After leaving Washington, Laxalt worked in the Reno office of the Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie law firm until leaving in 2014 to focus on his campaign for attorney general.

He spent five years in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He worked as an adjunct professor of law at the United States Naval Academy and Naval Air Station Sigonella in Italy.

Laxalt was arrested for driving under the influence. He admitted that he had problems with alcohol when he was younger. He sought treatment at the Hazelden Foundation and says he is now sober.

Adam Laxalt is married to Jaime Laxalt. They have been married for quite some time and have four children. Two of the children are named Sophia Laxalt and Isabella Laxalt.
