American television journalist Amy Joanne Robach was born on 6 February 1973 in St. Joseph, Michigan, United States of America.

She is a reporter for ABC News and is also the co-anchor of 20/20 and a breaking news anchor/fill-in anchor for Good Morning America.

She has been a national correspondent for NBC News and co-hosted NBC’s Today show on Saturdays. She was also a host for MSNBC. She and David Muir have been co-hosts of 20/20 since May 2018.

Robach announced on Good Morning America on November 11, 2013 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer after follow-up tests and a mammogram which she had live on television on October 1, 2013.

She took a break from television to undergo a bilateral mastectomy. On November 22, 2013, Robach announced that the disease had spread to her lymph nodes and that a second malignant tumor was discovered in her other breast during surgery (classified as stage IIB).

She then underwent eight rounds of radiation, chemotherapy and reconstructive surgery. Robach had no signs of cancer as of March 2022.
