Andrew Luck Children – Former American Football Quarterback Andrew Austen Luck was born on September 12, 1989, in Washington DC in the United States of America.

He was born to Oliver Luck and Kathy Wilson Luck. Luck and his three siblings have the same parents; a brother named Addison Luck and two sisters named Emily Luck and Mary Ellen Luck.

Luck was active in his church’s youth group and grew up Catholic. He is a football fan because he grew up in London. Although he received messages from Arsenal and Tottenham fans who wrongly thought he was one of them.

During his time at Stratford High School in Houston, Andrew rushed for 7,139 yards and 53 touchdowns while passing for 2,085 yards. Additionally, Luck received the title of Best of the Year in 2008.

Luck was rated a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and ranked as the fourth best professional quarterback in the class of 2008. In 2008, he played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

He was a highly sought after high school recruit and Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh was after him. He turned down offers from Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Rice and Virginia to attend Stanford.

Luck played for the Cardinal teams coached by Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw from 2008 to 2011 after receiving an athletic scholarship to Stanford University.

Tony Pauline of Sports Illustrated called Luck “the most NFL-ready of all the QB prospects in the draft” in September 2010, before his sophomore season. Luck was widely expected to be the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft after a strong sophomore season, but he opted to stay for his junior season.

Luck agreed to a four-year, $22 million contract with the Indianapolis Colts on July 19, 2012. After Kerry Collins, Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky, Luck became the Colts’ fourth starting quarterback in the previous two seasons of the NFL thanks to the agreement.

Pep Hamilton, then offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Stanford, and Luck reunited in 2013. On October 6, Luck faced fellow second-year quarterback Russell Wilson and the Colts, defeating the then-undefeated Seahawks. 34-28.

As part of the win, Luck also made his ninth fourth-quarter comeback of his career, giving Seattle its first regular-season loss since November 25, 2012.

In his second game against Peyton Manning to start the season, Luck threw for 370 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Colts attempted a comeback after falling behind 24-0 after halftime, but were unsuccessful, losing 31-24 to the Denver Broncos.

Luck’s fifth-year option was exercised by the Colts on April 9 and he will receive $16.55 million guaranteed by the team in 2016.

Luck became the league’s highest-paid player after the Colts announced June 29 that he had signed a six-year contract worth $140 million, with $87 million guaranteed.

In his first game in 616 days, Luck started on September 9, 2018 in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Colts won 34-23 despite throwing for 319 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and a career-high 39 completions.

At 29, Luck abruptly announced his retirement after seven seasons on August 24, 2019, two weeks before the start of the season. The main explanation he gave at a press conference was his repeated cycle of injury and recovery.
