Reese made his Maryland debut on November 27, 2020, scoring a new season-high 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds in a 94–72 victory against Davidson.
In her fourth game of the season, on December 3 against Towson, she suffered a Jones fracture in her right foot. She underwent surgery and remained unavailable until February 23, 2021.
