Cause of death and autopsy of Bostin Loyd
On February 25, after a workout at the gym, Bostin Loyd returned to his residence in Florida when he passed out. Dave Palumbo is a close acquaintance of the Loyd family and received the results of the autopsy that determined Bostin Loyd’s cause of death.

Palumbo also mentioned that Bostin Loyd’s bodybuilder father had an enlarged aorta that was surgically repaired. Although genetics likely played a role in Bostin Loyd’s death, we cannot ignore the fact that he was known for using his body as a guinea pig for various steroids, peptides, and other substances.
Bostin Loyd has never hidden his use of performance-enhancing drugs, which has been a breath of fresh air in an industry that continually lies about what goes on behind the scenes. Through the documentation of his trials and tribulations, his extreme experimentation with anabolic steroids and other PEDs likely saved a large number of lives. He demonstrated to the bodybuilding community that increased PED use is not necessarily superior.
What is an aortic dissection?
Aortic dissection is a serious condition characterized by a tear in the inner layer of the body’s main artery (aorta). Blood flows through the tear, causing the inner and middle aortic layers to separate (dissect). If blood enters the external aortic wall, aortic dissection is often fatal.
Aortic dissection is relatively rare. It usually affects men between the ages of 60 and 70. Symptoms of aortic dissection often mimic those of other diseases, delaying diagnosis. However, when an aortic dissection is caught early and treated promptly, the chances of survival are greatly increased.
