Branch was born October 22, 2001 in Fayetteville, Georgia and attended Sandy Creek High School, where he was named Georgia 5A Ironman of the Year.
He went on to play college football at Alabama and appeared in twelve games as a freshman, recording 27 tackles, seven assists and two interceptions.
