Brock Lesnar is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He accomplished a lot in his career, but his real goal was to become a professional NFL player, which he came shockingly close to in 2004.
Lesnar has informed WWE of his plans to retire following the conclusion of Wrestlemania XX.
WWE congratulated him on his choice and wished him luck in achieving his long-held goal.
After deciding to pursue a career in the NFL, Lesnar began training in Arizona with the intention of attracting the attention of NFL teams and joining the practice squad. Brock Lesnar stood out at the NFL Draft Combine and posted some incredible stats. His goal of joining the NFL was realized when he was selected to the practice squad by the Minnesota Vikings despite having no significant football experience.
During the combine, he reportedly ran a 4.7-second 40-yard dash, a 35-inch vertical jump and 30 reps on the 225-pound bench press, which are outstanding numbers for a rookie. However, a horrific motorcycle accident left him with a broken jaw, damaged pelvis and a strained groin, preventing him from giving his all during testing.
What team did Brock Lesnar represent in the NFL?

Lesnar was a regular part of Vikings training camp and played in the preseason. Unfortunately, it was the last of his NFL run as he did not make the final roster. A number of factors combined to derail his attempt to make it in the NFL.
The Vikings offered him a chance to play for them in NFL Europe, but he declined, preferring to explore a future in mixed martial arts.
Lesnar was definitely motivated to make a name for himself in the NFL, but his raw strength didn’t match his overall technical abilities. Although he possessed remarkable agility, strength and skill, his greatest drawback had to be that he lacked the footballing skills and intelligence necessary for peak performance.
