Buddy Games Release Date
Buddy Games is scheduled to premiere on CBS on September 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
It joins the CBS Thursday night lineup alongside the live episode of Big Brother season 25 at 8 p.m. ET (delayed for PT) and The Challenge: USA season 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Premise of games between friends
The inspiration for Buddy’s activities came from Duhamel and his childhood friends spending a weekend each summer for the past two decades competing in various activities. The game show will attempt to do the same by bringing together companions from diverse backgrounds and forcing them to live together, face extreme challenges and demonstrate that their relationships are strong.

Buddy Games brings together six teams of four longtime friends who met at different times in their lives for a nostalgic summer camp experience for adults. “Ride or die” has the opportunity to participate in “friend games” in which they relive their glory days and take part in a variety of absurd outdoor physical and mental challenges while sleeping in the same lake house .
When these friends are challenged to demonstrate which bonds are strong enough to withstand competition, friendships will be rekindled and rivalries will be reignited. The last remaining team of Buddy will receive a cash reward, the coveted Buddy Games trophy and bragging rights.
Friends game host
In addition to being the inspiration for the game show alongside his companions, Josh Duhamel will also host Buddy Games.
Duhamel is best known for his roles in the Transformers series, Las Vegas, Safe Haven, Love, Simon, The Thing About Pam and more recently Shotgun Wedding.
