Later joining the Ten Network, he was instrumental in the network’s decision in 1985 to take over Neighbors after it was dropped by rival channel Seven.

In 1995, Walsh joined Foxtel, where he helped establish subscription television in Australia.

He most recently served as an executive at Foxtel, overseeing the development of original drama series.

Over the past two decades he has overseen scripts and scripts for the Foxtel Group, including Wentworth, Upright, Love Me, Colin from Accounts and The Twelve.
