American child actor Karim Dulé Hill was born on May 3, 1975, in Orange, New Jersey, United States of America.
He began studying ballet at a young age and made his Broadway debut in the musical The Tap Dance Kid replacing Savion Glover. He later reprized the role during the series’ national tour.
After graduating from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 1993, Hill attended the William Esper Studio for Acting.
He also studied corporate finance at Seton Hall University. While studying at Seton Hall, he accepted a role on Jim Henson’s CityKids.

During the 1985 MDA telethon, 10-year-old Hill performed a tap dance performance. Hill’s routine needed music, so Jerry Lewis, the telethon host, chipped in by having the orchestra play another song while Hill performed.
In 1993, during his senior year of high school, he played his first film role in Sugar Hill. While still a student at Seton Hall, he landed a starring role in the Broadway production of Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk.
In 1999, Hill landed a role on “The West Wing” as Charlie Young, the personal assistant to President Josiah Bartlet (played by Martin Sheen).
Charlie was named special assistant to the chief of staff in the show’s sixth season.
Hill played Charlie for six seasons until, at the start of Seventh Seas (in September 2005), he decided to leave the series to star in USA Network’s brand new television series Psych, which debuted on July 7, 2006 .
However, Hill made a return for the final episodes of The West Wing when it was announced that the series would end in May 2006.
Additionally, Hill appeared as a Los Angeles doctor named Owen in the film and television series 10.5, as Sam the Onion Man in the Disney film Holes (the film itself was mentioned in the Psych episode “65 Million Years Off”) and in The Guardian. .
Another role Hill played was in “She’s All That,” a 1999 film starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook. He later found them both on Psych.
Additionally, Hill appeared on Broadway in Stick Fly from December 2011 to February 2012 and in After Midnight in November 2013.
Hill appeared as a voice actor in the 2021 animated film Night of the Animated Dead, based on the book of the same name by George A. Romero.
