It follows a breakdown in negotiations between the Screen Actors Guild union and streaming services and there are fears the strike could drag on for months in deadlock.
The two unions (SAG-AFTRA) failed to reach an agreement on a fairer distribution of benefits and increased protection of artificial intelligence (AI) rights.
