Famous American actress Angela Evelyn B Assett was born on August 16, 1958, in New York, United States of America.

In addition to being nominated for an Academy Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, she has won other awards, including three Black Reel Awards, a Golden Globe Award, seven NAACP Image Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
