Owen Hart was a professional wrestler who played for several wrestling promotions – New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and also the World Wrestling Federation, now known as Global Wrestling Entertainment.
While Owen received His greatest success came with the WWF, but he also died tragically at a World Wrestling Federation event. At the PPV in Kansas City, Missouri Hart was scheduled to make a spectacular in-ring entrance for his comedic superhero persona. The plan was to hang over the ring, look complex from the harness, then fall flat on his face for comic effect. Hart had even performed the stunt several times.
Unfortunately, when Owen was let into the ring, he fell chest first into the ring. He fell from a height of 78 feet and his fall ultimately led to his death. The accident occurred in a dark area and was not observed by the public.
A lawsuit has been filed against WWE following the death of Owen Hart.

Martha Hart, Owen Hart’s wife, filed a lawsuit against the company for Hart’s death and the trauma she faced. But his in-laws tried to stop him from taking legal action because they wanted to keep WWE and Vince McMahon happy. They even went so far as to work against them. Several family members’ careers depended on WWE.
Martha even refused to allow WWE to induct Owen Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame. The lawsuit was settled for $18 million, and the Hart family used those funds to create the Owen Hart Foundation. The foundation focuses on supporting single mothers and the homeless.
