Artur Chimaev talks about his brother Khamzat Chimaev’s childhood

Chimaev’s brother Artur recently did an interview with ESPN MMA Brett Okamoto in which he spoke about his childhood. In the interview, Artur recounts an incident that happened when Khamzat was around 10 years old and got into a fight with other children. The children were more numerous and held him back and hit him. Artur revealed that Khamzat was injured when he returned home and when he asked him why he was hit, Khamzat cried. Young Khamzat was so angry that he took out a knife and was ready to kill these children.
“At one point two guys jumped him, one held him while the other punched him. When Khazmat came home, he had a black eye and I asked him: “Why did you allow yourself to be beaten? Why did you fail?” And he immediately started crying. He ran, grabbed a knife and said, “I’m going to kill her now!” » It was unfair! There were two of them attacking me! I told him, “Give me the knife and let’s find out.” He was 10 or 11 years old.
Artur went on to express that Khamzat is the type who doesn’t run away from fights and always makes sure to face them. And he’s been like that since he was a child. “If there is an argument or a problem, he will take care of it until the end. He will go all the way. He has been such a person since childhood. Arthur said.
It seems that childhood experiences made Chimaev the fighter he is today. This cruelty, this domination, this courage, etc. – all of these qualities are the result of extremely hard work and the adversity he faced throughout his life.
