India Arie confronts dating rumors with Chris Tucker
In June 2020, rumors spread that Arie had been secretly dating American actor Chris Tucker for 13 years. The rumors spread like wildfire and fans backed up the claims with photos.
The singer quickly rose to the top of Twitter’s trending topics. And it didn’t take long for him to notice the hype and dismiss all the fan theories in a series of tweets on June 5, 2020.
Arie expressed his disbelief over the rumors in the first post, saying the gossip was robust black love “tea.” In another tweet, she responded to the rumors and said that she is not dating Tucker. Instead, she admitted that they had a date or two thirteen years ago and that she didn’t remember them.
“To you who loved the idea of Chris Tucker and I as a couple lol I feel you,” the “Steady Love” singer wrote in her recent post, commiserating with her fans.

Is India Arie married?
At the time of writing, Arie is 45 years old but has never married or had children. She has been living an unconventional life and focusing on her career and business since she was 25 years old.
That’s not to say she’s never been in a serious relationship. According to her appearance on The Real on January 26, 2020, the 45-year-old was about to get married twice.
She even got engaged to one of his friends and started planning their wedding, but the relationship eventually ended. The singer also spoke about trusting your instincts before jumping into a relationship.
She admitted that every man made her shiver. If the tingling sensation occurred on the right side, she would reject the man, but if it occurred on the left side, she would approve of it.
The interviewer continued the conversation by asking Arie if she would like to have a husband one day. “Sort of,” she replied happily. The soul singer went on to say that she wanted to be with someone she could marry.
Arie went on to say that she doesn’t like being with the same person every day, but she would like to meet someone who would challenge her views. She is ready to love and waiting for Mr. Right to appear in her life, as she says.
