The Grinch is disgusted by the celebrations and vows to destroy the town’s spirit by stealing all the gifts, decorations and food while he sleeps. He dresses up as Santa and his dog Max as a reindeer and goes down to Whoville in a high-tech sleigh. The first house he enters is Cindy’s, and when she catches him stealing her tree, he lies to her to make her escape easier. He single-handedly drains the Christmas spirit from the entire town, puts it all in a giant sack, then goes back to the top of Mount Crumpit to throw the sack down the mountain. When the people wake up on Christmas morning, they are horrified to discover the theft, and MayWho blames Cindy for allowing the Grinch to ruin the town’s spirit. However, her cheerful father, Postmaster Lou Lou Who, defends her, claiming that she was trying to tell them that Christmas is not about decorations and presents, but about spending time with family and friends . The locals accept, shake hands and start singing Christmas carols.
