Is the revamped Ranger any good?
The revamped ranger is good. However, not so good. It’s still not close to being a fighter or spellcaster, especially at levels 3 and 4. At level 1, it’s definitely a very powerful class.
How is the revamped Ranger different?
No, the revamped Ranger doesn’t solve much of that. The extra damage for Favored Enemy helps a bit, as the ranger can choose more enemies as they level up. The revised Ranger addressed (and in my opinion overcompensated for) the Beastmaster’s problems. This also allows for comparing just the features of the Ranger vs. base class.

Can 5E Rangers double lead?

How good is Horde Breaker?
Horde Breaker is very useful, but it is not overpowered. The only way to get the free attack is if enemies group up within 5 feet of each other. Most of the time you won’t have these situations. The Figther’s Action Surge is much more versatile, which also allows it to take advantage of its high attack profile.
Is Hordebreaker a bonus action?
It does not use bonus promotion. Sugar. And to top it all off, rangers gain an extra attack at level 5, potentially 5 attacks per turn!
Do additional multiclass attacks stack?
