John Anthony White, American children’s musician, songwriter, and record producer, was born on July 9, 1975.

White was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States of America, to Teresa Bandyk and Gorman M. Gills. He has the same parents as his nine brothers and sisters.

In the first series of the ITV period drama Sanditon, Needham played Mr Crowe. It will appear from 2022. At the age of 15, he began a three-year apprenticeship as an upholsterer with Brian Muldoon, a family friend.

He attributes Muldoon’s introduction to punk music to the time they spent together in the store. Muldoon urged his impressive student to form a band. As upholsterers, the two men recorded the album Makers of High-Grade Suites.

Jack White’s career

White is considered one of the major players in the garage rock revival of the 2000s due to his continued critical and commercial success.

Three of his solo albums reached number one on the Billboard charts and he has received 12 Grammy Awards. In 2010, Rolling Stone ranked him number 70 on its list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”

He was ranked 17th on David Fricke’s list in 2010. White was called “the coolest, weirdest, most accomplished rock star of our time” by The New York Times in 2012.

White and Detroit native and then-wife Meg White formed the White Stripes in 1997 after White worked part-time as a drummer in a number of underground bands in Detroit.

They rose to worldwide fame thanks to the hit song “Fell in Love with a Girl” and the music video for their breakthrough 2001 album, White Blood Cells.

Due to his success, White had the chance to work with well-known musicians such as Loretta Lynn and Bob Dylan.

White founded the Raconteurs with Brendan Benson in 2005 and The Dead Weather with Alison Mosshart of the Kills in 2009.

He and Alicia Keys are the only duo to perform a Bond song; They collaborated on the recording of “Another Way to Die” in 2008, which served as the theme song to the James Bond film Quantum of Solace. Four of White’s solo studio albums have received widespread acclaim and commercial success.

White serves on the board of directors of the National Recording Preservation Foundation. His label and studio, Third Man Records, releases vinyl recordings of his own work, that of other musicians and local schoolchildren.

Lazaretto, his second studio album, sold the most vinyl records in a single week since 1991. White has an extensive collection of guitars and other instruments, favoring antique pieces often associated with well-known blues musicians. He actively supports analog technologies and recording methods.

White has received regional, national and global awards for his numerous group projects and solo work, including twelve Grammy Awards. He has also been nominated for 33 other awards.

White received the title of Nashville Music City Ambassador from Nashville Mayor Karl Dean in 2011.
