Karine Jean-Pierre began her political career as a field organizer for the Gore-Lieberman campaign in 2000. She then worked as a field director for the John Kerry-John Edwards campaign in 2004. In 2008, she joined the Barack Obama’s presidential campaign as regional field director. After Obama’s election, Jean-Pierre served as deputy director for public engagement at the White House and national field director for Organizing for America.
After leaving the White House, Jean-Pierre worked as a senior advisor to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. She also served as deputy national director of MoveOn.org, where she led the organization’s voter mobilization efforts during the 2018 midterm elections.
Jean-Pierre is a regular political commentator on CNN, MSNBC and PBS. She is also a lecturer at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she teaches a course on campaign management.
In addition to his political work, Jean-Pierre also advocates for LGBTQ rights and women’s rights. She serves on the board of directors of the Victory Fund, an organization that works to elect LGBTQ candidates to public office.

Suzanne Malveaux is a journalist and news anchor who has worked for several major news networks throughout her career. She currently works as a national correspondent for CNN, covering a wide range of news and issues across the United States.
Malveaux began her journalism career at WCVB-TV in Boston, where she worked as a reporter and anchor. She then worked for WMAQ-TV in Chicago, where she covered major stories such as the OJ Simpson trial and the Oklahoma City bombing.
In 2000, she joined CNN, where she has since covered many major stories, including the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to her work as a correspondent, Malveaux also served as an anchor for CNN Newsroom and CNN International. She has won several awards throughout her career, including the 2001 Journalist of the Year award from the National Association of Black Journalists.
