Kathy Griffin Husband: Meet Randy Bick – Kathy Griffin got her start in comedy with The Groundlings in the early 1990s.
She and Janeane Garofalo co-wrote the stand-up routine “Hot Cup of Talk”, which became the title of their solo HBO special in 1998.
Griffin obtained numerous film and television roles in the 1990s. She appeared in Medusa: Dare to Be Truthful, Julie Brown’s parody of the 1991 Madonna film Truth or Dare, which aired on Showtime.
Griffin made her sitcom debut on NBC’s The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, appearing twice as reporter Susan Klein. Rosie O’Donnell resigned as co-host of The View in May 2007 and Kathy Griffin took her place until September 2007.
Due to her discussion of this in her television comedy special “Kathy Griffin: Straight to Hell,” Griffin claims she was fired from “The View.”
Griffin was allowed to return to The View beginning in August 2009 and made appearances on September 18, 2009 and June 15, 2010. She declined to comment on Access Hollywood’s ban.
During an appearance on The Talk, Griffin claimed that she was previously suspended from The View, but had since been reinstated due to a dispute with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
