Perez was reportedly arrested on December 23, 2021 after the alleged shooting of Oscar Hernandez, 24, in Harlem, New York. The New York Police Department alleges that on December 16, 2021, as Perez walked past a barbershop near the crime scene, Hernandez fled before Perez shot him in the neck and back .
