When Behavior Interactive acquired Antimatter Games, co-creators of Killing Floor, we’d like to believe our guess led to the creation of Killing Floor 3. A preview during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 confirmed that the survival game is in course of development, regardless of whether you should credit us with its design. Here’s what we know about Killing Floor 3’s potential release window, gameplay, and more.
Killing Floor 3 Launch Date Rumors
The likely release date for Killing Floor 3 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series of the game. . It is therefore very unlikely that the game will be released within a year.
Over the years, many games have been teased at Gamescom, but unless developers use the platform to disclose a release date, these games are usually still in the early stages of development. Our best guess is that Killing Floor 3 will be released no sooner than late 2024. Killing Floor 2 was released in November 2016, while Killing Floor: Incursion was released in late 2017 as a virtual reality game.

Only one trailer for Killing Floor 3 has been released so far, and it begins with a large humanoid creature strapped to an operating table and reveals that it was created specifically for this purpose. A large wheel saw is used to dissect his thorax and a glowing core is inserted into the gaping wound. Once the transformation is complete, the scene exposes hundreds of terrifying Fleshpounds, one of the most ferocious enemies in the series.
Killing Floor 3 appears to feature the return of many of Zed’s familiar enemies, including Husk, as well as a boss who appears to be a more brutal version of King Fleshpound, as seen at the end of the trailer.
Killing Floor 3 Gameplay
From what we know so far, Killing Floor 3’s gameplay appears to be similar to the previous two mainline games. According to the trailer description on the official Tripwire Interactive YouTube channel, you join forces with up to five teammates to battle waves of Zeds, earn money, access skills, and build the ultimate arsenal .
The game takes place in 2091 and you play as a member of the splinter group Nightfall who is trying to bring the Horzine corporation to its knees. In the seventy years since Killing Floor 2, Horzine has amassed a vast army of Zeds; as a representative of Nightfall, it is your responsibility to eliminate them.
