He developed a passion for music at a young age and gradually became one of the most sought-after artists during his career.
Lovett attended Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in German and journalism in 1980.
He also began his musical career as a singer and songwriter in the early 1980s with solo acoustic sets in small bars on the A&M University campus.
