The Government of Maharashtra has introduced the Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) or MahaDBT scholarship portal to provide welfare benefits to the students of Maharashtra. The portal supports the education of students in Maharashtra through a variety of programs including e-scholarships.

Steps to Apply for MahaDBT Scholarship

Through the MahaDBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal, the Government of Maharashtra offers various scholarships to its citizens. Before filling the scholarship application, candidates must register on the portal and follow the instructions provided carefully. Please note that an Aadhaar number is required to apply for any scholarship program through the portal.

Below are the procedures required to apply for scholarships through the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal:

  1. Go to the home page of the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal.
  2. To register, select ‘Post Matric Scholarship’ and then ‘New Candidate Registration’ from the menu.
  3. Register and provide the required information.
  4. Click on the ‘Get OTP for Email ID Verification’ and ‘Get OTP for Mobile Number Verification’ buttons to verify your email ID and mobile number.
  5. Use your registered email address and password to log in.
  6. Please provide your Aadhaar number and continue.
  7. Verify your Aadhaar number using OTP or biometrics.
  8. Click on the “Send OTP” icon after entering the Aadhaar number. Enter the OTP and select “OK” to continue. After successful verification, the candidate’s information retrieved by the UIDAI will be automatically populated.
  9. Visit the dashboard to view available scholarship opportunities.
  10. To start a new application, select the scholarship you wish to apply for and click on the “Apply” icon.
  11. Complete the profile by including all required details.
  12. Go to the section called “All Programs” and search for the scholarship you wish to apply for.
  13. Choose the scholarship you wish to apply for.
  14. Complete all required fields and upload all supporting documents (if you have not already done so).
  15. Finally submit the application.
