The siblings of American R&B singer and actor Marques Barrett Houston were born on August 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California.

This is B2K’s older parent J-Boog. Houston made his acting debut at a very young age.

Houston, who was part of the R&B duo Immature/IMx from 1990 to 2002, went solo in 2003.

He rose to fame as an actor with his role as Roger Evans in the television comedy “Sister, Sister.” Houston has released a number of commercially successful solo studio albums which have reached platinum status in the United States.

Brands Houston Career

Houston joined the R&B group Immature (commonly known as IMx) in 1992 as a founding member.

Alongside Chris Stokes as manager, the group consists of Don “Half Pint” Santos and Jerome “Romeo” Jones (who was later replaced by Kelton “LDB” Kessee). “Batman” was Houston’s nickname at the time.

The group changed its name in 1999 and released two albums under the name IMx: Introducing IMx (1999) and IMx (2001). The ensemble also ventured into acting, appearing in shows such as “Sister, Sister” and “A Different World.”

Before disbanding in 2002, they produced the music for the soundtracks to the films House Party 3 and House Party 4: Until the Last Minute.

Houston began a solo career in 2003. On October 21, 2003, he released MH under his birth name, Marques Houston.

The songs “That Girl”, “Clubbin'” (featuring Joe Budden and R. Kelly), “Pop That Booty” (featuring Jermaine Dupri) and “Because of You” were included on the album. MH peaked on the US charts at number 20 on the Billboard 200 and number 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

His second solo album, Houston’s Naked, was released on May 24, 2005. The singles “All Because of You” (with Young Rome), “Naked” and “Sex With You” were featured on the album. Naked peaked in the United States at number 13 on the Billboard chart and number 5 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Veteran, Houston’s third solo album, was released on March 20, 2007. The singles “Like This” (featuring Yung Joc), “Favorite Girl”, “Circle” and “Wonderful” were included on the album.

Veteran was Whitney Houston’s first number-one solo album in the United States, debuting (and reaching) number 5 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

On September 29, 2009, Houston released Mr. Houston, his fourth studio album. The singles “I Love Her” and “Sunset” were included.

In 2008, the singer uploaded videos for the album’s tracks “Body” and “Date”. The videos for “How I Do” and “Case of You” were released in 2009, while “Tonight” followed in 2010.

The singles “Kickin’ & Screamin'” and “Pullin’ On Her Hair” from Houston’s fifth studio album “Matratze Music”, released on September 14, 2010, were included. In 2011, the music video “Ghetto Angel” was released for the third single.

Houston announced on 106 & Park that IMx would make another group album in 2016. This strategy was eventually abandoned.

Houston released a brand new studio album titled Famous in October 2012, scheduled for release on August 27.

As a promotional preview, Marques provided a free digital copy of the song “Speechless.” “Give Your Love a Try” featuring Problem was the album’s lead single and was made available on iTunes.

Houston and IMx reunited and toured after the release of his last record. After returning to their former moniker Immature, the group dropped “Let Me Find Out” as their next song in late 2014.

Remember, her cover EP was released in early 2015. Later that year, Houston released her solo single “Need You” from the Will to Love soundtrack.

Houston released the song “Complete Me” to streaming and download retailers. He released a music video for the song in September.

The song was intended to be the first single from his upcoming album White Party, which is due out later this year.

However, this album was never released. Houston wrote the screenplay for the film “Til Death Do Us Part” and recorded three new songs for it in 2017. Based on the soundtrack, his song “Together” was released as a single.

On February 4, 2022, Houston released Me, her first album in nine years. Me: Dark Water, his second EP, was released on November 4, 2022.
