Children of Maya Rudolph: Meet Her Four Children: Maya Rudolph is an American comedian, actress and singer born on July 27, 1972 in Gainesville, Florida, United States, to Minnie Riperton and Richard Rudolph.

She attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California, and continued her education at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photography in 1995.

Maya is known as an actress and for her role on the NBC sketch show Saturday Night Live. During her time on the show, she had supporting roles in the films 50 First Dates, A Prairie Home Companion, and Idiocracy.

After leaving Saturday Night Live, she appeared in several films including: Grown Ups, Bridesmaids, Inherent Vice, Sisters, CHiPs, Life of the Party, Wine Country and Disenchanted, among others.

Maya also provided voice roles for the animated films Shrek the Third, Big Hero 6, The Angry Birds Movie, The Emoji Movie, The Willoughbys, The Mitchells vs the Machines and Luca.

Her portrayal of U.S. Senator and vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris on “Saturday Night Live” earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

In 2022, she began starring in the comedy series Loot and also served as an executive producer. However, in January 2023, Maya made headlines when candy brand M&M announced that it would be replacing its promotional cartoon characters, the Spokescandies.

The move came after the name change of the cartoon versions of the chocolate treat that appear in advertising sparked backlash. The company announced it would hire Maya Rudolph as a spokesperson.
