Michael Block Wife: Meet Val Block: Born June 15, 1976, Michael Block is an American professional golfer and golf instructor.

He developed a passion for golf at a young age and gradually became one of the most sought-after golfers throughout his career.

Block attended Mississippi State University as well as the University of Missouri; St. Louis plays golf at both colleges.

For his love of the game, Block later earned a degree in golf course management from the San Diego Golf Academy.

From 1998 to 2004, he served as assistant professional at Lakes Country Club in Palm Desert, California.

A few months later, Block became head professional at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo, California.

As a professional golfer, Block competed in 24 PGA Tour events throughout his career and only qualified in four of those events.

He won the Southern California PGA Player of the Year award nine out of 10 years, from 2012-2022.

He also won three Southern California PGA Championships (2017, 2018, 2022) and the 2014 PGA Professional Championship.

In May 2023, Michael Block made headlines after reaching the 2023 PGA Championship.

In the second round of the tournament, he made three birdies on his first five holes to move into second place.

During the match, he also made three shots on two holes and finished the day tied.

Block finished the second round T10 and the third round T8, the first time a club professional had made the top ten since Jay Overton in 1988.
