Locations

Players can find them hanging in groups from the ceilings of the Netherrealm. They can even spawn in Bastion Remnants and Hoglin Stables.
Players can obtain the block themselves by mining it with a Silk Touch enchanted pickaxe. Mining it with a regular pickaxe will drop Glowstone Dust. Players can also use it to craft Glowstone.

Players can also find them from village clerics for 4 Emeralds.
Used
Glowstones are the best light sources in the game and are also used as a crafting ingredient for the Redstone Lamp. They emit a light intensity of 15, which is the highest in the game.
This is a transparent block and therefore does not prevent players from opening chests underneath it.
They are also used in Redstone circuits that transmit a signal from one side to the other.
They are also used as manufacturing ingredients in:
- Red stone lamp
- Respawn Anchor
These are all the features of Minecraft Glowstone.
