Minecraft has introduced a variety of blocks that players can craft or find that serve different purposes. Here’s an unusual block called a Minecraft Target block and how to create it.
Blocks are the cornerstone of the entire Minecraft world and players rely on them from the start of the game. Blocks are used as building materials, to build structures, or even as food for animals. The Nether update also introduced many blocks and one of the new blocks was the Traget.

Introduced in the Nether update, the Target Block offers players the ability to hold arrow shooting competitions and also acts as a Redstone component.

The Minecraft target block cannot appear naturally in the game and must be created by players. The block can be identified by its white body and red markings on all sides of the body.
How to create a target block in Minecraft?


Players need to collect the following items to create a Minecraft target block:
- Red Stone Dust x4
- Hay bale x1
Redstone Dust can be found by mining redstone blocks underground in the overworld. By mining redstone blocks with an iron pickaxe or higher, the player receives redstone dust.

After obtaining the two mentioned items, players need to place them in the crafting table as shown above to create a target block in Minecraft.

Target is a newly introduced block and therefore does not have much use in the game yet. However, some of them are:
This can literally be used during player shooting training. Previously, players used moving animals or stone buttons to test their aim, but now players can have shooting competitions using the aim block.
The target block also generates a Red stone signal when hit by a projectile of any kind. This ranges from arrows to thrown potions to crowd attacks. However, the redstone signal emitted is on a scale of 1 to 15 depending on the location of the impact. The center emits the highest signal while the sides emit the lowest signal.
