What exactly is Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha?
As we all know, many people in Odisha do not have a Pucca house and live in a single concrete room with their family. Accordingly, the Odisha government launched the Odisha Mo Ghara Yojana 2023, under which households can get a low-interest loan to renovate or construct their house. Mo Ghara means “my house” in Odia, which clearly indicates that this project aspires to provide housing to everyone.
It differs from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in that there are fewer preconditions and loan disbursement is simpler. The government would provide a loan of up to Rs 3 lakh without any application fee, which you can use to build your house. - Firstly, you can get a subsidized loan of up to Rs 3 lakh through the state government’s housing scheme.

Who is eligible for the Mo Ghara program?
- The family resides in a one-room pucca house with an RCC roof or a kutcha house.
- The household which has not previously benefited from government housing assistance or which has received housing assistance worth less than Rs. 70,000.
- If the monthly income of the family is less than Rs.25,000.
- The family does not own a motorized FourWheeler for personal use.
- A household in which no member is regularly employed by the government or public service and does not receive a monthly pension for their employment.
- A household with less than 15 acres of non-irrigated land or 5 acres of irrigated land.

During the application process for the “Mo Ghara” initiative, the following documents must be submitted:

Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha Application Process
- Enter your Aadhaar number or mobile number as your user ID at https://rhodisha.gov.in/moghara.
- After registering and filling out the online application form, the respective BDO receives the application via the portal.
- BDO sponsors the registration of the eligible candidate with the bank of his choice.
