According to our checks, he was 31 years old and after killing six people, he also committed suicide and died. On Wednesday afternoon, police identified Bing as the shooter and said he was armed with a handgun and several magazines.

At a news conference hours earlier, authorities confirmed the shooter was a disgruntled store employee.

Chief Solesky said authorities do not want to release his identity at this time because his next of kin have not been notified.

He said it is currently unclear whether the shooter targeted his victims or shot them randomly. He is not believed to have been on police radars before Tuesday’s attack. A search of online records revealed he had no criminal record.

After the shooting, a search warrant was served at the suspect’s home. According to Chief Solesky, it was determined that there was no ongoing threat to the public.

Police said the attacker used a handgun in the attack, but no other information about the murder weapon has been released, including the exact make and model and whether it was legally purchased and registered in the suspect’s name.

A survivor of the attack said the shooter had problems with some of his colleagues and laughed as he opened fire on his victims.

The witness, who did not wish to be identified, told local station 10 On Your Side that the shooting happened while 14 employees were in a meeting room preparing for their shift. As the suspect began shooting, workers waited to learn their responsibilities.

Details about his parents are currently unknown. According to Chesapeake tax records, Bing purchased a three-bedroom home in 2019 on East Eva Boulevard, with Interstate 464 running along the back.

He had worked at Walmart since 2010 and was a night shift leader, supervising employees who restocked the store during the shutdown.

He also didn’t appear to have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TikTok. Family members could not immediately be located.
