Steven Crowder’s parents are an American-Canadian political commentator. Steven Blake Crowder was born on July 7, 1987, in Detroit, Michigan, United States of America.
At the age of three, his family moved to the suburb of Greenfield Park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where he would spend the rest of his life. His mother was French-Canadian.
Crowder attended Centennial Regional High School and returned home at age 18.
Crowder spent two semesters in Burlington, Vermont, at Champlain College.

Early in his career, Crowder posted satirical films to conservative media websites while working for Fox News.
He then founded Louder with Crowder, a political podcast and YouTube channel featuring commentary and humorous material.
There is a repetitive section called “Change My Mind” in which Crowder engages the audience in conversation.
Crowder and supporters of Americans for Prosperity fought in December 2012 while participating in a protest in Michigan against the state’s recently passed right-to-work law.
The first demonetization of Crowder’s YouTube channel took place in 2019 due to the frequent use of homophobic and racist slurs.
His channel was monetized again after YouTube said Crowder addressed his behavior and content. In March 2021, monetization was disabled again, along with a week-long suspension of uploads, after violating YouTube’s policies regarding the accuracy of the presidential election results.
In October 2022, YouTube suspended the channel again for two weeks for violating its anti-harassment, threats, and cyberbullying rules.
As of January 2023, the channel has 5.94 million subscribers. Crowder announced on Russell Brand’s show that he would be moving his show to Rumble on March 3, 2023.
On “Louder with Crowder” in January 2023, Crowder revealed that he received a term sheet from an unknown conservative media outlet.
Crowder explained the terms of the offer, specifying, among other things, that his salary would be significantly reduced during this period if he were to be demonetized or removed from sites such as YouTube, Facebook or the iTunes Store.
He condemned this, saying that “Big Tech is aligned with Big Con” and that it was a sign that right-wing media did not oppose Big Tech censorship, but rather tacitly supported it.
The identity of the unknown media organization The Daily Wire was later determined. Daily Wire CEO Jeremy Boreing claimed that Crowder misrepresented the terms of the contract and paid Crowder $50 million over four years.
Additionally, Boring claimed the deal was necessary to ensure profitability.
