People create new trends on the Internet every other day and r/place is the latest trend on the Internet. People from all over the world collaborate and create mosaics on Reddit. Twitch streamers are trying to put their mark on the subreddit.
r/place explains
r/reddit was launched by Reddit on April 1, 2017 and regained popularity on April 1, 2022. r/place is a collaborative project and social experiment hosted on the social networking site Reddit. The experience is an online canvas, located on a subreddit called r/place, that registered users can edit by changing the color of a single pixel from a palette of 16 colors. After each pixel was placed, a timer prevented the user from placing a pixel for a period of 5 to 20 minutes.
Stream on site
Since the streams now reach thousands of viewers, they have a huge impact on R/Place. Many streamers try to create their own logos on the subreddit.
Recently, XQC, the biggest streamer on Twitch, discovered r/place and, as expected, started causing chaos.

Today, XQC is one of the most hated people in the subreddit, as he and his opinions have already destroyed many arts. A Twitter user named @darcysavisa said, “xQc is actually a terrible streamer whose fanbase constantly ruins the shit on R/Place and ruins the fun for a lot of people just because he thinks he’s funny and the worst part is no one can stop because he’s like the biggest streamer in Rn..
[xQc]”So now, ‘It’s attacking me everywhere, it’s attacking America, OTK is canceled, and now we go here and attack xQC,'” he said. [BruceDropemOff]Mizkif describes the fallout.
What do you think of this whole R/Place scenario? Do you support and participate in xQc’s raids on the subreddit or are you against it?
