He developed a passion for basketball at a young age and became one of the most sought after basketball players during his career.

Pippen began his college career as a player at the University of Central Arkansas after being discovered by the school’s head basketball coach, Don Dyer.

During his career, he played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association and won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls.

During his 17-year career, he played twelve seasons with the Bulls, one with the Houston Rockets and four with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Pippen was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team eight consecutive times, the All-NBA First Team three times and was also named to the NBA All-Star seven times.

He was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history during the 1996–97 season and was one of four players to have his jersey retired by the Chicago Bulls.

Pippen was honored as one of the league’s greatest players of all time by being named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary team.

He is the only NBA player to win an NBA title and an Olympic gold medal twice in the same year, in 1992 and 1996.

Pippen was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice, once for his individual career and once as a member of the “Dream Team.”

The Bulls retired his number 33 on December 8, 2005, while the University of Central Arkansas retired his number 33 on January 21, 2010.

In May 2023, Scottie Pippen made headlines after comments about his famous former teammate Michael Jordan.

Pippen appeared on Stacey King’s podcast and made some crazy claims about Jordan. He said Jordan was a “terrible player” with the Bulls until he (Pippen) came along and the team strengthened around him.

In a VIDEO it’s now gone viral, Pippen said;

“I saw Michael Jordan play before joining the Bulls. You saw him play. He was a bad player. It was terrible playing with him. He was always playing one-on-one, he was shooting bad, and suddenly we were a team and started winning and everyone forgot who he was.

The 57-year-old former basketball player was blessed with seven children; Scotty Pippen Jr., Antron Pippen, Justin Pippen, Preston Pippen, Sierra Pippen, Taylor Pippen and Tyler Roby Pippen.

He shares his son Antron (December 29, 1987 – April 18, 2021) with his first ex-wife, Karen McCollum, whom he married in 1988 before divorcing in 1990.

Scottie has four children with his second ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, whom he married from 1997 to 2021. Scotty Jr. (born November 10, 2000), Preston (born August 26, 2002), Justin (born July 11 2005) and Sophia (born December 26, 2008).

Pippen shares his daughter; Sierra Pippen (born February 17, 1995) with her former fiancée Yvette De Leon and her daughter Taylor (born July 20, 1994) with his former girlfriend Sonya Roby.
