Sebastian Lletget’s parents are an American professional football player. Sebastian Lletget was born on September 3, 1992, in San Francisco, California, United States of America.
Lletget was born and raised in South San Francisco, California, where he attended El Camino High School and played soccer before joining the USA U17 Residency Program. He also played for Silicon Valley’s Santa Clara Sporting.

In September 2010, Lletget signed his first professional contract with West Ham. He featured in pre-season friendlies and came on as a substitute in four Premier League competitions during the 2012–13 season. He suffered from mononucleosis, which hampered his professional development. Nevertheless, he agreed to a contract extension in 2013.

Lletget competed for the United States in the U17, U20 and U23 divisions. Lletget’s first appearance for the United States national team (USMNT) took place on January 6, 2017 under coach Bruce Arena.
