Simone Biles’ courageous advocacy for mental health took her from sports legend to idol of the masses. The American’s ever-growing popularity saw her sign new contracts which helped her reach fourth place on the Forbes list. Simone Biles earned a whopping $10.1 million in 2021.
Only $0.1 million came from their on-field income, while the rest came from their off-field transactions. Biles first worked with Autograph to release NFTs and joined mental health startup Cerebral as “Chief Impact Officer.” Additionally, she was the face of the United States post-Olympic gymnastics tour, with the Gold Over America tour adding to her face value.
The list was dominated by the tennis ace Naomi Osaka followed by two other tennis veterans, Serena and Venus Williams. In fact, the list included five tennis players, two golfers, Ko Jin-young (6) and Nelly Korda (9) with a badminton star PV Sindhu (7) and a basketball player Candace Parker (ten).
