Sol Xochitl is the ex-girlfriend of boxer Mike Tyson. Xochitl and the baddest man alive dated in the 2000s and had two children during that time.
Sol Xochitl is Mexican
Xochitl was born in the winter of 1975/76. Xochitl is said to have been born in Mexico to Mexican parents. Her former boxer boyfriend has sometimes referred to her as Mexican.
Other than that, there isn’t much to say about Tyson’s ex-girlfriend, especially regarding her life before she met the legendary boxer. She is probably the least-mentioned celebrity ex-relative.
Xochitl met Mike Tyson at a strip club
TYson reveals that he met Sol at a strip club in Phoenix, Arizona. Sol, who Mike calls Shelley in his bio, was a stripper when she first met the boxer.
Sol was a fitness enthusiast; even Mike couldn’t keep up with her.
Mike recalls a time when he and his assistant Darryl were throwing a fifteen-pound medicine ball and Shelley was there to have fun. Iron Mike goes on to describe how he and Sol threw the ball 250 times and it hurt, but she kept throwing it with Darryl.
Mike was completely broke when Xochitl started dating him
While Sol was with Tyson, Tyson owed about $27 million, including $17 million in back taxes to the IRS and the English tax authorities.. The remaining $10 million was for personal expenses, including money he owed his ex-wife Monica from the divorce, mortgages, and huge legal fees.
Tyson claims he was so overwhelmed and bored by the bankruptcy process that he simply abandoned his house. He goes on to explain that he had not planned on fighting, but he still trained and worked out.
In the meantime, he was spending time with Sol in Phoenix. According to the New Yorker, he and his then-girlfriend, Xochitl, had Frosted Flakes and Twizzlers for dinner.
Sol Xochitl did everything she could to keep her daughter alive.
Sol and his then partner experienced the darkest day of their lives on May 26, 2009, when their daughter Exodus died.. Her daughter was playing on a treadmill at home in Arizona when she got tangled in a rope.
Exodus then lost consciousness, after which her brother Miguel discovered her and her mother arrived. After letting go of her daughter, Sol, who was cleaning the house, immediately called 911. Documents later revealed that Exodus’ mother was “doing everything she could when this tragic accident happened.”
Why did Xochitl disappear?
Xochitl became a completely forgotten name after the tragic death of his daughter. Mike writes in his book Undisputed Truth that after Exodus died, she was no longer able to care for her other child, Miguel.
While there’s no denying she’s still grieving the loss of her four-year-old daughter, the pain may have eased somewhat. For now, Xochitl is just another name once associated with a much-discussed character who has since been completely forgotten.
