1. Supernatural (2005-2020)

From its debut in 2016, Stranger Things became an instant hit. With its nostalgic 80s style, the series evokes the spirit of a Steven Spielberg film based on the works of HP Lovecraft, which has won over Netflix subscribers.
The show centers on a group of kids from Hawkins, Indiana who have numerous paranormal encounters while living in a small town. While its subject matter can be quite dark at times, it always has a wonderful blend of humor and gravitas.
4. Slasher (2016-2019)
An anthology series called Slasher unfolds over the course of a season much like a slasher film. While many of the actors appear in more than one season, each season opens with a new plot and a new set of characters, including a new killer. Slasher is a great horror series with lots of blood and a touch of mystery that will appeal to different audiences depending on the season.
5. The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
The excellent haunted house series The Haunting of Hill House (2018) blends past and present to tell the story of a truly terrifying family drama.
The adult children of the Crain family are separated from each other, but they reunite after a tragic event. Seeing each other reminds them of their time living together at Hill House. Netflix offers a variety of shows and movies directed by Mike Flanagan, including this one.
6. Marianne (2019)
In the strange French horror series Marianne, a novelist is haunted by the witch in her writings. Emma (Victoire Du Bois) is ready to let go of Marianne, the witch whose horror stories she has made a career of.
After the death of a childhood friend, Emma returns to her hometown and discovers that, despite her ability to end her relationship with Marianne, she is not over her. Marianne, a story about never going home again, has some terrible scenes.
7. Black Summer (2019-)
Black Summer functions as a precursor to the previous television series, while also being a spin-off of Z Nation on Syfy. Set in the early stages of a zombie apocalypse, Black Summer shows the struggles different survivors face as they come into contact and try to live to see another day.
The undead are only slightly more deadly than the people forced to live in a desperate and near hopeless situation, which makes Black Summer a very uncomfortable and depressing read overall. Christine Lee, Justin Chu Cary and Jaime King star in this bloody zombie series.
8. The Haunting of Bly Manor
An au pair is employed by a man to care for his niece and nephew at the family’s country home after they are placed in his care. A plot summary for The Haunting of Bly Manor states: “Arriving at Bly’s estate, she begins to see apparitions haunting the place. ยป
9. Cabinet of Curiosities
Guillermo del Toro curated Cabinet of Curiosities, a horror anthology that includes eight contemporary horror stories. He also co-wrote two of the stories. High marks were given to the play for its inventiveness, masterful visuals, exceptional acting and the topics covered. Critics hailed the collection as a “macabre, nightmarish feast for fans of the sinister and supernatural.”
10. Archives 81
Inspired by the podcast of the same title, Archive 81 has been called “an intriguing blend of horror and noir.” From paranormal activities and cults to conspiracies and paranoia, the eight-episode Netflix series has a lot to offer. According to the synopsis, “An archivist sets out to restore damaged video tapes and finds himself drawn into the vortex of a mystery involving the missing director and a demonic cult.”
