Bert Mahion Peppers and Joyce C. Peppers welcomed Brian Peppers, better known as Brian Peppers, to the world on November 1, 1968 in Whitehouse, Ohio, United States. Since birth, Brian has suffered from either Crouzon syndrome or Apert syndrome, which causes his facial features to deteriorate. The majority of information confirms that he owned the latter.

In addition to her facial features, Peppers’ height and other physical characteristics were also affected by the disease. Brian was only 4 feet tall and weighed about 100 pounds. His parents loved him so much because of his appearance that they decided to abandon him.

There isn’t much information about Peppers’ education or where he spent the rest of his days. However, it can be assumed that the circumstances he endured were not very auspicious, as he had damaged facial features, his parents hated him, and he never married or had children.

The serious crime of sexual imposition and Brian Peppers

Brian was convicted in 1998 of a crime of flagrant sexual exploitation. When a person is forced into contact with another person for sexual reasons, especially if that person is under 13 years old, it is called “serious sexual assault”. This means that to be guilty of this crime, the victim must have been touched in her erogenous regions against her will.

The nurse who cared for Brian was accused of having “sexual contact” with him. When he was convicted, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation. For this reason, he was listed as a registered sex offender on the Ohio Sex Offender Registry.

The Internet was completely destroyed in March 2005 when users of the website YTNMD produced memes about Pepper’s distorted facial features. The meme community continued to make dark jokes about Brian after his identity and background were clarified and information about him was released.

While some websites produced and mocked memes about Brian’s crimes, other sites continued to mock Brian’s appearance and posted daily taunts. Some of the most popular Brian-related memes included “YOU GON GET RAPED” and “Brian Peppers, Sexual Predator.” The latter gained popularity as many people imitated him and produced “Brian No” memes.

These memes made Brian so popular and hated that his name was added to Wikipedia’s list of Internet phenomena under the “Images” category. “The Truth About Brian Peppers” is a 2006 YTMND entry by user Grimaf.

The video highlighted his current situation (as of 2006), which was quite depressing. The user said Brian, who needed a wheelchair to get around, lived in a nursing facility. At the end of the clip, he asked the members to leave him alone, saying that he had already experienced “the hard life” enough and that everyone had laughed enough.

After reading the YTMND entry titled “Truth About Brian Peppers”, another user named Allen Peppers claimed to be Brian’s brother and sent a message to the online community. Allen Peppers asked the meme community to respect Brian’s privacy, noting that his brother has already been through a lot.

Internet users felt sorry for Brian because of Grimaf and Allen Pepper’s letters and some of them decided to delete their negative websites about him. However, when Allen Pepper’s first YTMND appeared, another one quickly followed, denouncing him as a fraud.

The second YTMND ended with the line “…and he left in a time machine, hehe!”, explaining that Brian died the day before Allen’s first YTMND. The YTMND community and people who previously had doubts about Allen Peppers learned that the person behind Allen Peppers’ persona was another YTMND user who went by the name “digeridude.”

What was the cause of Brian Peppers’ death?

Brian Peppers died on February 7, 2012 at the age of 43. According to close sources, complications caused by excessive alcohol consumption were the cause of the death. He is buried at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in the United States.

Apart from those revealed by Grimaf, the details of his last days still remain unclear. He likely spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair in an Ohio nursing home.

It was never known exactly how much money Brian made. The news of his death revived the online community and many viral memes were produced. The internet is currently full of Brian memes created by many websites and online meme creators.

As usual, some focus on his bad behavior and others on his appearance. Regardless of the topic, Brian continues to be the subject of hatred, scorn, ridicule and extremely offensive comments in the name of fun.

It is important to recognize that although Brian Peppers committed a crime for which he was punished – a sexual offense – he was first and foremost an abused human being. Regardless of his appearance, Brian could have had his name recorded elsewhere than in the Ohio registry if it had been liked and accepted by his family and community.

Some high school photos of Brian, which were quite depressing to look at, were also posted on the Snopes website, revealing Brian’s true identity. In these photos, Brian was smiling like a little child.

Brian Peppers, a young child with a disfigured face, suffered a lot of bullying throughout his life and even after his death. People need to think seriously about how their behavior affects children and individuals like Brian Peppers.
