Thiago Seyboth Wild career
On September 9, Wild became the second Brazilian, alongside Tiago Fernandes, to win a Junior Grand Slam (US Open). He also reached the junior semifinals of Roland Garros, the US Open and the French Open doubles tournaments.
He won his first Challenger in Guayaquil in November 2019 when he was just 19 years old, entering the world’s top 300 for the first time.
With this victory, he rose to 235th in the world, overtaking Thiago Monteiro and Joo Menezes and taking third place in the current Brazilian tennis rankings.
He received a wildcard to participate in the ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro in February 2020. In the first round, he defeated top 100 Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in three sets (5-7, 7-6 (7- 3) and 7 -5) in the longest match in the history of the tournament (3 hours and 49 minutes).
In the next round, he lost in the third set tie-break against world number 32 Borna Ori. With this result, he rose to 182nd place and made his first appearance in the world top 200 on February 24.
When he received a wildcard invitation to the ATP 250 tournament in Santiago the following week, Wild had his best season: he beat Juan Ignacio Londero (world number 63), Facundo Bagnis and, in the quarter-finals, Cristian Garn, the world champion Chilean number 1. 18 and champion of the Rio Open, eliminated in the tie-break after losing the first set.

He competed at the ATP Challenger Tour 175 Piemonte Open in May and reached the quarterfinals before losing in three sets to top seed and top 50 seed Sebastián Báez of Argentina.
Wild, ranked 172nd, reached Roland Garros for the first time. At the start of tournament qualifying, he was one of the lowest ranked players.
He beat Antoine Bellier, Riardas Berankis and Dominik Koepfer in his three matches, losing only one set.
He scored the biggest victory of his career by beating second seed and world number 2 Daniil Medvedev in a five-set battle to advance to the second round.
