Timothy Weah has two older siblings – George Weah Jr. and Tita Weah. George Weah Jr. was born on August 27, 1987 and is a former professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for La Chaux-de-Fonds.
He was born in Liberia and played for the United States men’s national under-20 soccer team, but did not win any senior caps.
He began his career with AC Milan’s youth team at the age of 14, but was released in 2007 just before he turned 20 due to a long series of injuries.
In October of the same year, he was tried with Slavia Prague but no contract was offered to him. Karel Jarolm, the team’s coach, explained that the team was looking for a “different type of player” from Weah.
