Norlaila Kyrgios (Nick’s mother) was born in Gombak, a district in Selangor, Malaysia. His grandfather’s cousin was the Sultan of Pahang. This makes her the Tengku of Pahang by birth, which translates to “Princess of the State of Pahang”. At age 20, she moved to Australia, choosing to abandon her title and leave her royal roots behind, and began her career as a computer engineer.
Giorgos Kyrgios Nick’s father is of Greek descent and a well-known tennis player who now works as a self-employed house painter. He has not revealed his exact date of birth, but he appears to be in his late 50s.
Giorgos Kyrgios and Norlaila Kyrgios met in Australia and started their family. They have three children together, Christos and Halimah, and both are Nick’s older siblings. Norlaila is currently not playing at Wimbledon with her son as she wanted to attend the birth of her grandchild, while Giorgos has attended all of Nick’s matches.
