Boyz ii Men is an American vocal harmony group based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, best known for their a cappella harmonies and dramatic songs.

They now consist of tenors Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman and baritone Nathan Morris. Boyz II Men rose to fame in the 1990s as a quartet on Motown Records, including bassist Michael McCary. McCary left the band in 2003 due to health problems which led to a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis later that year.

The trio released the top five singles “Motownphilly” and “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” in 1991, which were followed by the chart-topping single “End of the Road” in 1992.

What happened to Boyz II Men?

With the retirement of bassist Michael McCary in 2003, the vocal group officially lost its fourth member, but has since continued its musical endeavors, releasing a total of seven albums over the past 16 years. McCary left the music group after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Boyz II Men’s early success was marred by tragedy when their road manager Khalil Rountree was shot dead during a robbery attempt in 1992.

Who died in Boyz II Men?

None of the original members of the Philadelphia R&B group have died. However, the latest fatal incident is linked to a doctor who competed on America’s Got Talent and rose to fame by singing a minute-long version of a Boys II Men song in a viral video.

In a fatal car accident, Dr. Brandon Rogers in 2017 and he died at the age of 29.
