Who is Daniel Collins’ coach?

Danielle Collins is currently trained by a former Spanish tennis player Nicholas Almagro. Almagro has won 13 singles titles and reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and French Open. His career singles ranking is No. 9. The Spaniard retired from tennis in 2019 and later returned to the sport as a coach.
The duo started working together in 2020, just before Roland Garros. His first tournament as player-coach was the French Open, where Collins reached the quarterfinals but lost to reigning Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin. This was Collins’ best result at the French Open, she had never made it past the second round before this season.
The initially temporary partnership proved successful as Collins has since made great strides in her career, winning her first WTA title in 2021 and posting consistent performances at Grand Slams.
