A third-grade teacher at Holy Trinity School in Washington, D.C. promised her students a hot chocolate night if she took a long-distance photo. The video of the incident went viral and the whole world was amazed by the magnificence of the images. Although the shot stunned everyone, it raised questions about Ms. Fritz’s history with the game and it turns out she is an award-winning WBB player. Fitzpatrick played collegiately for Rutgers, the Scarlet Knights.

In case anyone was wondering if the long-reach shovel was a coincidence, Kathleen Fitzpatrick’s resume says otherwise. Ms. Fitz is a former Division I basketball player at Rutgers. This explains his love of the game and his exceptional form in throwing. She started 16 games for the Scarlet Knights during the 2017-18 season.
Miss Fitz completed her freshman, sophomore and junior years at St. Joseph School. The primary school teacher found her calling in video games during her final year. She led her Notre Dame de Namur team to the PAISAA semifinals and earned third-team All-State Class AAA honors.
Miss Fitz received the Markward Basketball Award for her athleticism and outstanding play. Holy Trinity School participated Facebook to share the viral video of the former Scarlet Knight being recorded. The Georgetown school also shared a photo of students enjoying the hot chocolate Miss Fitz promised them.
When Kathleen Fitzpatrick became the talk of the town, she appeared on SportsCenter. Miss Fitz said she loved playing with the children and making sure she did her best against the little ones. Fitzpatrick added that she had just taken a shot and, to everyone’s surprise, it hit.
“I usually play basketball with the kids at recess and I don’t take it lightly. Fitzpatrick said on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “I play as hard as I can. I just picked up a ball and said – it was a Friday afternoon – if I get this picture we’ll have hot chocolate in class on Monday… I just threw it and it went in.”
