Lauren Ogilvie “Lo” Bosworth, born September 29, 1986, is an American former reality television personality, founder and CEO of Love Wellness, and author. She rose to fame as a cast member of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, which documented her and her friends’ lives.
Lo Bosworth was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California before moving to Los Angeles, California. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, then transferred to UCLA, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in art history in June 2008. While in college, she joined the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority . Additionally, she earned her degree in Culinary Arts from the International Culinary Center in New York after expressing her passion for studying farm-to-table cuisine.
Lo Bosworth appeared in the MTV series Laguna Beach. She performed alongside her best friend Lauren Conrad, her former classmates Christine Cavallari and Stephen Colletti. She only made a few appearances in the second season. Following the success of Laguna Beach, MTV developed the spin-off series The Hills, which chronicles the lives of Conrad and his friends (Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Porte) in Los Angeles, California.
Lo Bosworth and Conrad did not speak to each other during production of the first season. This was briefly mentioned on the show as a fight instigated by a mutual friend, Jen Bunny, that lasted for almost two years. After the two reconciled, Lo Bosworth became a supporting actor in the second season of The Hills, first appearing on the series on March 12, 2007.
The third season premiered on August 13, 2007. During the season, Lo Bosworth became roommates with Conrad and Audrina Patridge when they moved into a new house, although Patridge eventually moved into her own apartment. The fourth season began on August 18, 2008, when Conrad and Lo Bosworth adopted a dog named Chloe. During the season, she also opened up about her personal life and even allowed cameras to be used at work.
The first half of the fifth season premiered on April 6, 2009. Conrad made his final appearance on the series on May 31, 2009 at the wedding of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. The second half of the season began on September 29, 2009, with former Laguna Beach actress Christine Cavallari hired to replace Conrad.
The sixth and final season premiered on April 27, 2010. Despite rumors that they would not return after season five, Lo Bosworth emerged as one of the main cast members of the season. She was shown to be dealing with drama at work and moving in with her boyfriend Scott. The series ended on July 13, 2010.
In 2010, Lo Bosworth launched a website called The Lo Down by Lo Bosworth. She also wrote a book of the same name; it was released in January 2011. In late 2013, she launched her own beauty channel on YouTube, which has grown rapidly since its inception. In 2016, Lo Bosworth founded Love Wellness.
