Reggie Lilburn Wright Jr.. was born on August 5, 1966 in Lynwood, California. He is the son of Reggie Wright Sr., who also worked for the Compton Police Department. He attended Lynwood High School and had a mundane experience in high school due to petty thefts committed by criminals. Suge Knight was one of his high school classmates.
After high school, he attended California State University, Long Beach, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Black Studies. Even his college years were memorable, which helped.
