Biography of Tamerlan Phillips
Tamerlan was a descendant of the legendary Phillips family. He was born in 1971 to singer John Phillips and his third wife Genevieve Wate. His mother Geneviève was a South African singer, actress and model who died on May 18, 2019. Tamerlan’s parents were married in 1972 at the Golden Palace restaurant in Los Angeles. Tamerlan grew up in London and his father was a drug addict at the time.
Bijou Phillips was born in 1980 to John and Tamerlane Phillips and the two siblings grew up together for several years. Bijou was placed in foster care after her parents separated in 1987 because they were unable to care for their child.
Michelle Phillips, John’s second wife, previously tried to gain custody of her son Tamerlan. She accused them of kidnapping children, but the case is still pending.
