American gymnast Gabby Douglas completed his training in 2016 after two successful participations in the Summer Olympics. However, she has yet to officially announce her retirement, but did not participate in the US Olympic team trials for Tokyo 2020.
Gabby’s career breakthrough came at the 2011 World Championships in Tokyo, where she won the gold medal in the team competition. She then won two gold medals at the 2012 London Games, team and all-around, but failed to medal in an individual event. She also won another gold medal at the 2016 Rio Games. With all these achievements, she became the first African-American woman to become an Olympic individual all-around champion.

In 2017, the 26-year-old apologized for a tweet she posted that led to a public rift between the members of the Final Five.
